NEW ORLEANS – Walter L. Cohen College Prep will host its inaugural Swing for the Green Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 18th at the Audubon Park Golf Course. All proceeds raised from the tournament will directly benefit the Cohen Athletics Department.
The tournament will kick off on Saturday, May 18th at the Audubon Park Golf Clubhouse with registration at 7:00 a.m. and a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. The format for the tournament is a 4-player scramble and multiple prizes and giveaways will be available for all tournament participants. Following the tournament, a celebratory lunch will be held at the Audubon Golf Course Pavllion.
“At Cohen College Prep, we pride ourselves on building young men and women of character through academic and athletic skill development,” Cohen Athletic Director, Benjamin Powell said. “We are extremely grateful for our sponsors – Cox, Coupa, HUB International, and the Adams & Reese—for believing in our mission and supporting our inaugural tournament.”
“At New Orleans College Prep, we work hard to ensure educational and enrichment opportunities exist for students attending all of our school sites. The funds generated from this Golf Tournament will help ensure these opportunities remain in place and will provide our students with an opportunity to thrive and excel both in and out of the classroom,” said Joel Castro, New Orleans College Prep Chief Executive Officer.
Pre-registration for the Golf Tournament is highly encouraged, but participants may also register their team of four (4) on-site. Should any participant need equipment, the Audubon Golf Club provides equipment rental services.
More information about the tournament, including online registration and sponsorships can be found on the school’s website at www.cohencollegeprep.org.
